PANAMA CITY — The hit TLC show “Say yes to the Dress” has featured many brides from all over the country and now it features two of Panama City’s own.

Brittany Lewis, 23, an evening producer for WMBB News 13, and Brooke Bailey, 20, a secretary for a construction company, were both selected for the show recently. Lewis was featured picking her bridal gown and Bailey was shown with the newly minted bridesmaids edition, and both women went to Bridals by Lori in Atlanta.

“I applied in January online because I always watch the show with a friend and we thought it would be funny to apply, like a joke thinking that they wouldn’t pick me,” Lewis said. “And then literally I think five or six hours later I got a call from TLC saying they wanted me on the show.”

While both have separate weddings planned, Lewis and Bailey went to do the show in February 2011.

“I went up there with nine people to find the bridesmaids dresses,” Bailey said. “With so many people there it took awhile to find the right dress.”

The show did interviews with the women before, and then after, they tried on dresses. Each appointment took a few hours to complete, and like in all the shows, there were some tense moments. Bailey’s “Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids” episode focused on family feuds, and Bailey had a word with an unruly bridesmaid.

“I went in knowing that I wanted my bridesmaids to have short dresses,” Bailey said. “But my sister wanted to wear a long dress and kept trying to get the consultants to let her put one on to make me change my mind.”

The case was a bit different for Lewis because while she still brought six people she made sure her opinion was heard.

“I’m very strong minded, so I went in knowing what I was going to get and that the people I brought would not sway my decision,” Lewis said.

Everyone in Lewis’ party picked out a dress for her, but in the end she said yes to the dress she had picked out for herself.

“I knew as soon as I put it on that was the one I was going to get,” Lewis said. “It was different than what I originally thought I would get because it has a sweetheart neckline, but the consultants were amazing and showed me what looked best on my body.”

After the long hours of filming and trying dresses on, Bailey found her dream bridesmaid dresses.

“Every dress came out and I didn’t like it,” Bailey said. “And then the very last dress, it was like they saved it for the end, and it was the perfect dress.”

The upcoming episode of “Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids” featuring Bailey will air on TLC at 9 p.m. on Friday, and the date for the episode of “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” featuring Lewis has not yet been announced.

January 11, 2011

I am grateful to have a wonderful husband who loves me despite all my flaws. His love for me inspired several photos that I worked on recently. I am going to share them with you now. Enjoy.

TWINS

November 15, 2010

Hey!!! Sorry I haven’t posted in quite some time! My husband and I are expecting Twins around Thanksgiving time. We are awaiting the arrival of our Emma Ann and Caleb Elijah. So much to prepare for and I have been so busy.

I plan to write again soon after the babies are born and will include some pictures of the beautiful babies as well. Of course I will want to do some portraits of the two of them. These babies will be used for good though! :)

Hope you are all doing well and I’ll be back soon to write again!

Christmas Spirit

December 19, 2009

Lately I have been in the Christmas Spirit and doing Christmas shots! I have a lot of fun with my Christmas Tree, Glasses, and Our Christmas town. I hope you enjoy the following shots. I have been busy with getting things ready for Christmas this year but I am managing to get some shots in between all the bustle. I have a couple shoots coming up in the next couple of weeks and I am sure they will go great! Enjoy and Have a blessed holiday season!

Family Fun!

November 3, 2009

I had the opportunity to shoot a number of family shoots but it is a unique pleasure to work with Dogs! They make me smile and are so unpredictable. Just simply shooting and hoping it comes out doesn’t work. You have to work with them to get the right shot. Well recently I had the opportunity to shoot two dogs and here are some samples of shots I got.

And one more just for fun! This photo I played around with in photoshop. It was accidentally taken while trying to fix settings on my camera. I love the angle and the perspective it captured! Hope you enjoy the playfulness!

Ok, Two more… :)

Wedding

October 2, 2009

I recently had the honor of taking pictures at the wedding of Larry and Kendra Bruner. They were a pleasure to work with and had a “unique” wedding. It was a refreshing mix of traditional and non-traditional. The groomsmen wore Motocross Boots and they danced down the aisle and back and down the aisle again. It was a total blast! They had a great time at the reception and looking beautiful doing it.

Most of the pictures of the wedding are on my site www.perfectlyimperfectphoto.com. Please check them out! I will add a couple of my favs to this entry and I hope you like them too! :)

Boston Red Sox

August 27, 2009

I had some inspiration in terms of baseball this past week. it was fun to play around with textures and colors in this photoshoped picture. I took two photos, both of which I took. I overlayed the flag photo over the baseball photo. I then took a florabella texture and placed it on top to give it the textured and framed look. I really love how it came out. Hope you like it too! :)

I have had fun with candy lately! :) Hope this makes you hungry! LOL!
